Until You by Penelope Douglas
5.0
“I’ve wanted you for so long,” I whispered against her mouth. “All the times I’d see you next door…it drove me crazy”
This is Jared's story.
Wow.
I am so glad I read this novella, if you'd even call it that, because we still get the story, but so so much more.
So from 'Bully' we know how the story plays out with Tatum Brandt, his childhood friend, the one person he always loved and then hated. But being inside Jared's head, we learn so much about what's running through his mind the whole time, which is a ride in itself. We see how his feelings play out, how he deals with the Tate and how he comes back to her.
I think the most important thing in this book really was finally understanding what happened with Jared that summer he went to stay with his Dad, and how that affected him. We see how haunted he is by it, and why he acts the way he does.
I fell in love with Jared even more in this book and I think the intensity of his relationship with Tate became very real for me, and also memorable.
“Yesterday lasts forever.
Tomorrow comes never.
Until you”
At the end there were a couple of extracute scenes so well worth it!
