Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

5.0

I loved Scarlet. A lot more than Cinder, if possible. The fact that Meyer managed to intertwine the lives of Cinder and Scarlet together was impressive.
I knew as soon as Scarlet was introduced that she was a character which I would enjoy. I loved the fact that she could stand up for herself and had quite the attitude. She also showed a great sense of loyalty throughout the book, first to her grandmother, then towards Wolf.
Wolf was a character which I loved, he was brave and protective of Scarlet. I loved seeing the character development with his character.
The romance between Wolf and Scarlet was very cute and I felt myself wishing they ended up together and happy.
Spoiler But then Wolf had to go and betray her! , but then he obviously realised his feelings for Scarlet as he righted his wrongs.

Cinder was still a great character and I enjoyed the character development and conflict within her. I liked Cadet, Sorry Captain, Carswell Thorne, he was a character which entertained me, and I like his and Cinder's relationship. I wished I had seen more of Kai...

Overall, this was a great sequel. Unfortunately I have to wait till 2014?!? for Cress.
