King of Greed by Ana Huang
2.0
I was excited for this book but was sadly super disappointed in it. The plot is about a marriage in crisis and a lot of it could have been prevented if the main couple only communicated with each other from the very beginning as opposed to rushing for a divorce.
I didn't like the two MCs. Ale said she wanted to find herself again after losing her identity in her years of marriage with Dom. But I didn't see that rediscovery in the book. She just kept going back to Dom at every opportunity. As for Dom, he was too obsessive and didn't give Ale the space she kept requesting from him. And in my opinion, they got back together too fast. Less than a year and they were dating again.
The entire conflict with Roman and the bank also didn't seem like it was necessary for the plot.
I really wanted to like this, but the plot and characters were lacking in so many ways.
