Bring Me Your Midnight by Rachel Griffin

3.0

This book was good… That's the best I can do, though. While I liked the story, I didn't love the characters. Wolf and Tana's Dad were the only two people I looked forward to hearing more from.

Tana was boring. Even when she was trying to stand up for what she believed in, she was still entirely brainwashed and felt very robotic. I found her very whiny. She complained constantly but also did very little to change her circumstances or to help the island.

Her mom? Trash. Her best friend? Trash. Wolf? Okay. He wasn't quite enough. His character had more personality than the rest of the town put together, but he still just wasn't quite “it” for me.I needed more sparks in their relationship. While there were a few cute moments, cute moments don't cut it in a book that revolves around love.

This story also went in circles. We never accomplished anything or moved on from anything. There was the first two-thirds of the book, and then the last third was just a repeat of the beginning.

I found it hard to connect with the story and with the characters, but overall, it was a pretty okay read.
