I loved this book. It was cathartic, painful, warm, and hopeful all at once. In my mind, the measure of a good poem is that it makes you feel something, this book made me feel everything. I'd be careful reading it if you had a pet pass away recently, it would probably be a very painful read. I read this book with a senior dog and two younger pups at home, and the memory of my former therapy dog clinging along, and each poem made me think of a different one of them. This was an excellent read that I would highly recommend.
