shojo is usually slow to start for me but this is so sweet. my first time seeing a Deaf character in manga/anime. seeing the different ways they organize yuki’s thoughts and the dialogue when characters don’t speak each others language- which, i immediately appreciated that yuki wasn’t the only one with that. along with the focus on signed japanese learning by characters, i loved the sign in this. (also my deaf studies degree was screaming thanks at the authors note about signed japanese and japanese sign language (and the difference) and who was teaching sign for the project and who the Deaf person consulting was, bless ‘em)
