Middle of the Night by Riley Sager

4.0

Middle of the Night is an engaging and twisty thriller. I read through it so voraciously I nearly didn't notice that the sun was going down and the beach was about to kick people out for the night. The atmosphere for the book was excellent, Hemlock Circle and the woods beyond it loomed large in my imagination, and I was eager to explore it with the characters.
I also enjoyed that Sager reused a trope from Home Before Dark, where paranormal activity seems highly plausible for a death, but the unraveled mystery reveals a familiar person as the culprit.
I highly recommend this book to readers looking for an exciting and memorable mystery.
