I really didn't care for this book when I first started and found it to drag a bit, but towards the end, the pace really picked up and it got more interesting. I felt like some of the characters were a little redundant and I wish the writing had been better, but the story was interesting. It really did a great job of capturing the vibe of coming of age as a teenage girl, even though it was set decades before I was a teenager.
