People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry

Did not finish book. Stopped at 85%.
The premise was interesting, but characters were terrible communicators and weren’t honest with each other. The hero was one-dimensional and lacked character development. The heroine was quirky but never grounded. I was disappointed by the dishonesty between the characters and frustrated by alleged “best friends” treating each other with such disrespect.

The first half of the book constantly references a “big event” that fractured the main characters’ friendship, but the “big event” was anti-climactic.

I enjoyed the author’s first book and was excited to read this one, but the characters were too annoying for me to finish.
