The Woman in Me by Britney Spears

4.0

I was very nervous to read this book. I had some of the reviews on here about how poorly written it was. But I was very pleasantly surprised. I felt like it was having a conversation with Britney. I enjoy that style of writing, especially when it comes to memoirs.
I also read this after reading her sister‘s book and let me tell you I really appreciate the fact that Britney could keep a timeline straight and didn’t need to repeat the same thing 50 million times and that may have influenced me a little .
When it comes to the content, you can tell that Britney is just wanting to finally be heard. And it is a gut wrenching story. Highlights so many problems with not just our court system, but our society nobody stood up for that girl. Yeah we’re about the same age, but they have taken so much from her. I hope that she is able to grow into an amazing free woman that she deserves to be. And if she’s a little quirky, let’s chalk it up to response like we do so other.
