Ketchup Clouds by Annabel Pitcher
3.0
Thought I would pick up a YA book whilst at the library and after chatting to my work colleague earlier in the week about this author I picked this up as soon as I saw it on the shelf.
I really enjoyed the format of this book, the letters and the drawings too. It is a tragic story of death that the author has conveyed through the lens of a young girl (I’m unsure of her age) and Pitcher’s writing is spot on.
In all honesty I’m a bit gutted that there were no letters from, or follow up from the death row convict as I think his perspective could have shone a different light for the girl.
I’m going to give Pitcher’s other books a try but this was very promising and I really enjoyed her writing style.
3/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
