The Diplomat's Wife by Pam Jenoff
1.0
I really could not get into this book. First off, nothing on the book suggests that this book is second in a series. I found it at Costco and it wasn’t sold along side the first book, so I had no idea. I’m not sure this is super important, though, considering this book is about a different character than in the first (apparently).
I think I really just couldn’t stand her style if writing. It wasn’t descriptive enough, there was no character development, and everything just happened so fast and out of nowhere. I need to be drawn into a scene and fall in love with characters to care about a story, and this just didn’t do it for me. It was almost like watching a cheesy and far-fetched romance movie but you don’t even get a visual of the hot guy.
