I love a pining hero. Pining, dark and tortured demon hero? Hell yes. I loved this so much. I didn't want it to end and honestly, that is why it isn't five stars cause it just kind of... ended. And I wanted more of this awesome couple.

Simone is tough as nails on the outside and so just wants to trust and love but that is easier said than done when she is accused of treason and might be put to death. Not to mention unpacking her very messy extended family. Nick has one goal - to love and protect Simone. He really doesn't want much and I kind of love watching him deal with that. He is amazing and wonderful and hot as can be!
