Improves in most of the ways I hoped it would after Starsight, providing a tighter adventure with fewer (though not no) awkward handlings of race. A fun story, providing great studies of characters established and new, and covering Sanderson's favourite topics: the importance of change; friendship; accepting imperfection; and the correct use of violence. Still not quite reaching the heights of Skyward, this is a good book with some excellent twists. Looking forward to the series' conclusion!

And I can't leave without mentioning that the repertoire of curses has grown, from 1 to 2! Scrud! I'm pretty sure it's an archaic version, or a mishearing, of scud, but still - Growth!
