Hmmm . . . very slow sometimes. As others have said, there was soooo much repetition. The cave scenes wouldn't have had to be so boring, but for all the detail she gave, nothing ever happened in the caves. The writing felt very unsophisticated, especially much of the dialogue. Book 3 picked up and was more interesting, but the end was pitiful.
