Antigone, Oedipus the King, Electra by Sophocles

5.0

Electra had a lot to complain about. Her father killed her sister (Iphigenia). Then her mother killed her husband, Electras father, in revenge and took up with a new love thereby stopping her remaining daughters access to their wealth and ruining their marriageability. Her brother proved decidedly tardy about revenging his fathers murder.. then died in a chariot race (or did he?)and she fell out with her remaining sister.

So she is a little miserable!!
This play could be entitled ‘101 ways to be miserable’.
It all ends up ok
