Kali Kajardo-Anstine deserved the nomination for The National Book Award!
The writing in Sabrina & Corina was absolutely fabulous! I loved and connected with the Hispanic reference—even laughed at some of them (e.g. the joke about how Latinx ppl think white ppl can’t dance cracked me up.) I got very invested with the story “Sabrina & Corina”, “Remedies”, and “All Her Names”.

5/5 stars rating overall — a rarity for a short story collection.
