Thinking About It Only Makes It Worse: And Other Lessons from Modern Life by David Mitchell
3.0
I had the opportunity to read this book by David Mitchell as I enjoy him as a comic and actor. I listened to the Audible Audio, narrated by Mitchell himself, and definitely think this is the optimal way of reading this book. It was very funny and I really liked his narration.
So the book was first published in 2014 and a lot of the content is discussing the current political events up to this time. So now a lot of the content of the book is "out-of-date", but I still found it interesting to read and be transported back in time. It definitely got me thinking deeply, and yes it is true: thinking about it only makes it worse.
David Mitchell has clearly put in a lot of effort into this book, with a significant amount of research, humour and also putting his own neck on the line with his honest opinions. I would be interested in reading a more current book from him if he decides to publish again.
3/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
