Challenger: A True Story of Heroism and Disaster on the Edge of Space by Adam Higginbotham

dark emotional informative sad tense slow-paced

5.0

I listened to this on audio and while I wasn't as excited initially about this one as Higginbotham's previous book about Chernobyl I decided to give it a shot based on recommendations from several people I trust and it did not disappoint.  The narrator was excellent and I ended up finding the story of the Challenger disaster more engaging than I expected and really loving it.  Higginbotham has a talent for getting into the nitty gritty science of a disaster while still making in engaging for someone who maybe doesn't understand all the scientific details.
