One tree hill fans the audiobook is a must and an absolute treat that brought my elder millennial heart shear Joy, pun intended, listening. (Please heed with caution and warnings as this is a telling of religious, mental, verbal, physical, & sexual abuse.)
Joy did a wonderful job at creating her story and transforming you into writing along with her and her journey into the cult. The coaster was towards the end and the emotions could not be matched. But this was also due to riding along on the journey with her in the beginning of her story.
My heart ached, my stomach dropped, and I wanted to cry with her as she read her experience and journey breaking free. As a fan of Joy since on one tree Hill, this audiobook was such a treat to listen to.
I’m proud of Joy for writing this book, making these connections with others and making it her passion to put her story out there. I enjoyed this and the anticipation from announcement to reading was well worth the wait!
