I had a hard time figuring out what was going on with this book at first, but then caught on after a bit. Elatsoe (ee-LAT-sew-way) was definitely gifted in her ways like her grandmother and I liked her character very much. She lead with her caring heart and tried to help her family through a very difficult situation. I wasn't entirely sure about the vampires, that there were good vampires and also bad ones. It's always interesting to me when a town, or a home, is a premier character like the town of Willoughby was. I loved the ending. It felt very just.
