The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

5.0

This book was THE book I needed to get out of a slump. It feels like ages since I had that feeling of excitement about a book, just finding any possible time to pick it up and read.

I found it to be a fast paced book with a storyline that kept me hooked. The characters felt real and interesting. I also loved the fact it wasn’t a fantasy book all about romance and spicy sex scenes! Yes it has a hint of romance but it doesn’t take over and it’s intricate and complicated.

I was slightly worried about how it was going to end, I was begging the author not to have finished it in a cliche way and she did not disappoint. I always know when I’ve read a book I love because I find myself grieving it after and then looking at the authors back catalogue.

This is a brilliantly written book and it’s a clear 5 stars from me.
