I loved Three Women and was so exited for Toddeo’s first fiction, but it just didn’t land right for me. The characters were quite one dimensional and some of the book was really jarring. I’m not quite sure what I expected, so I should have read more reviews before starting, but lots of this book caught me off guard. I would say overall this is a well written book, but just one I didn’t enjoy. The language around sexual violence is very graphic and often comes really unexpectedly, so huge trigger warning there.
