Is that what it means to unequivocally care for another person? To want what’s best for them even if it’s going to hurt like a bitch to sit by and watch?

“Did you fucking drive here?”
I continue. She shakes her head no, and that settles me for only a moment before she admits, “I ran here.”
“That’s eight fucking blocks, Kennedy.”

“You’ve never gotten a say in your own life, and the last thing I’m going to do is take that away from you again. Every option is yours, Kenny. Whatever you want to do, I will be your biggest supporter. But I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t allow you the space to fulfill your goals, to live up to everything you’ve worked so hard for.”

This book was so adorable. The unconditional love isaiah had for Kennedy🥹 the way Kennedy grew out of her shell and became this confident woman🥹 and again the found family🥹 I can’t with this book. THAT EPILOGUE😭😭😭 everything about this book was just perfect. Especially isaiah🤭
