OK, I am not a fan of historical books. It's just not me, I have a hard time getting sucked into the world....especially the language. But this book was fabulous, and it wasn't one of those that pretended to be historical but spoke in modern language kwim? Or well, at least to my mind it wasn't...and yet I still loved it. Evan and Elaine were both flawed but likeable characters...and the romance between them was believable....you really felt for what they had gone through both in the past and presently. I may have to check out more from Ms Milan....
