Bury Your Gays by Chuck Tingle
2.0
This book isn’t good… It’s crazy that I’m in the minority but this story and I never saw eye to eye and I’m flabbergasted at how this book is sitting at such a high rating. This book has an amazing plot line with such poor execution. It felt very clunky and disconnected. Then the ending makes for this story to just completely fall flat. My main issue is that I never cared about the main character, Misha, or any of the side characters. They just felt like cogs in a machine, no importance just there to move the story along. The book felt repetitive and all over the place at the same. I think at first this book had a strong start because of the excitement of the idea of monsters from a writer’s past films coming to life but Chuck Tingle dropped the ball completely about halfway through and the story never picked back up for me. The worst thing a book can be for me is boring.
