I'll say this: Aero and Briony both deserved love, and they found it with each other. Just the whole process of getting there was not my favorite. I felt like this book had way too many dark romance tropes thrown into one.
The amount of time Aero spit in Briony's mouth was disgusting. It grossed me out.
I didn't like Aero and the way he treated Briony. Even if in his own twisted way he was "trying to open her eyes" to the evil around her. I thought Briony was a flat character that wasn't explored enough. She went from innocent and sheltered to a bad ass in like 20 pages. I have more thoughts, but I don't want to just shit on this book the entire time.
I did like Nox and his friendship with Aero. I also liked Baret and Briony's sibling bond. So there's that.
