Red Handed by Kate King, Jessa Wilder
4.0
If you like RHs you’ll likely like this. It reminds me of the Madison Kate series (Tate James) mixed with the mental insanity of the Dead Men Walking duet (Peckham, Valenti), so if you loved those, give this a try.
However, if you are interested because it’s also marked as “MM romance”, know that the romance is limited to a couple
of quick moments in spicy scenes from Book 2 and 3. There’s no actual MM building to a relationship. :/ In fact this book has a bit of a “bury your gays” trope to it.
I do like the FMC a lot. She’s tough without being obnoxious, and she’s a total boss. I wish she wasn’t named Raegan, because any name that sounds like US President Ronald Reagan is unsexy to me.
If neither of those things bother you, then enjoy the series.
Spice: Eventually 5/5
