I am in awe of the masterpiece that was Delicious Monsters. Liselle Sambury wrote this book with a dime and a dream! I loved the switching of POVs between Daisy and Brittney that helped to make small connections and piece things together throughout the book. This was truly a great paranormal thriller because every time I thought I knew something, the plot twisted and I was thrown for a loop! I love being kept on my toes.

Daisy is such a complex character. I found myself loving her at times, feeling sorry for her and her ability or being annoyed at her for not speaking up for herself. The odd dynamic between her and her mom was so beautifully written though. There was love, but there was also that desire for more that her mom clearly wasn’t giving her.

Brittney was also so much like Daisy in a way. Being manipulated by her own mother must’ve made her feel a strong connection to Daisy, especially since she refused to talk about the animosity or admit it out loud.

I’m gonna need a day or two to just sit with this and mourn the loss of never being able to read this for the first time again 😂
