Maybe it's just because I too met my husband in school in Chicago in the heady days of the 1990s, but I loved this book to pieces and could not put it down. So much of it resonated for me. It's very smart about marriage and family -- it's the novel Jonathan Franzen always thinks he is writing but isn't. Easily one of the best books I've read this year.
