Jean Racine's Phaedra by Jean Racine
Interesting to compare to Euripides, Seneca, Shakespeare. It seems like he's trying to achieve a similar goal to Seneca but in a very different way. I'm glad I read it for the conversation to be had, but I can't say I'll be returning to Racine by choice anytime soon. If only I could read it in French. (Someday!)
