Loved it. It's so honest and well-written. It made me think about the struggles I will never endure simply because of the color of my skin, and then placing those into context for Michelle Obama as she navigated her family, neighborhood, education, relationships, and motherhood (to say nothing of becoming FLOTUS). She is truly a remarkable woman.
I appreciated that her book addresses her life as a work in progress. She acknowledges her faults and her strengths and she's quite vulnerable at times.
I will say, the one criticism I had was that there were parts here and there that seemed to drag along a little bit as she described all the details of something in the White House, but those times never lasted long and I still found the book fascinating.
I miss the Obamas, so this was a refreshing tone of hope and better days for me.
