EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

“I want an Ambrose and a Kodiak to eventually get off this ship. I want them to have a chance to live their lives together.”

I won’t really write a review for this book because if you want to read really in depth ones there are a dozens amazing ones out there. I wouldn’t even dare to start. But this book toke me on a very rich and philosophical experience and once again it was proven that I will take a few little significant moments over a thousand splashed on. How this picked my brain. I am so eager to get to book two.

“I am authorized to inform you that his name is Kodiak Celius. Like you, he was chosen from among the cadets in his respective training program.” // “I hope to see you. For the good of the mission. For our lives. We need to meet. And you know what? People like me. You might like me.” // “A heavy tread. I stagger to my feet. I’m no longer alone.” // “Sweet lords is the first thing I think on seeing Kodiak. This beauty is wasted on me.” // “Your presence here is a distraction to everything I’ve spent my life training for.” // “As I get to work, my mind goes to warm Greek sand, idle warriors, olive oil . . .” // “Not removing my eyes from him…” // “I’d like Kodiak to make me know that I exist. Kissing him would be a way to do that.” // “I imagine Kodiak and me immortalized this way, two boys who don’t know each other, taking each other’s pulse.” // “You are giving me much to look forward to.” // “I noticed you noticing.” // “You, Ambrose. I prefer to be with you.” // “I wish I could share…” // “At least you’re real.” // “I spent my whole life feeling…” // “If you’re not careful, I’m going to have to lie down again.” - “I don’t know if that’s so bad. I certainly did enjoy lying down last time.” // “I also need the feel of him.” // “I’m going to fall in love with this piece of ancient history?” // “It’s only a matter of time until it becomes shipmate, lover, self.” // “I don’t feel a particular need to take it slow.” // “The universe has no light in it anymore… Hug your Kodiak close to you.” // “He looks back at me, and I know he is wondering, too.” // “But it’s ours. Not theirs. Ours.” …
