When I saw a friend's review of this book I just knew I had to read it. Recently I went to the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum and one question that kept coming to my mind is how did these people move forward after they were liberated. Well this novel gives this author’s take on one of those stories. A girl who has lost her family and home and hope is seeking to find all those things again. You follow her story and her emotions as she seeks a new life going forward. Packing several heartbreaking moments, this book is a must read for lovers of WWII historical fiction.
