The Garden of Forking Paths by Jorge Luis Borges

5.0

Magical realism meets spy thriller. Borges beautifully blends a real-life setting with fictional characters set in World War 1, exploring themes of time, infinity, and labyrinths/mazes. It is the first work by Borges I have ever read, and I was instantly hooked - he has quickly become my favourite author! Thank to my Latin American Literature professor for introducing me to this wonderful story, and an amazing author.
