This, overall was a cute story, but it felt incomplete. I feel like I read the first few chapters of a long slow-burn romance only to have it suddenly end with a simple kiss. If this was the first volume of a series, I could give it more grace. But since it's a one-shot, I can't. The characters are pretty common tropes in a BL series. Despite being straight-up tropes, I did enjoy the main couple. They had good chemistry with each other, and their relationship grew naturally. It's just that the ending flubbed the entire novel. The art style was excellent, I liked the detail of the characters' pupils being drawn in a diamond shape.
