"This book is an exercise of deeper reflection by Palestinians in Gaza and elsewhere about the Palestinian experience in Gaza. It is an attempt to put into words certain aspects of the Palestinian experience in and around Gaza that have been ignored, underrepresented, and dismissed."
And I think it accomplishes that really well.
Every chapter is insightful and I loved reading from Palestinians themselves, each with a unique point of view and perspective, but with one thing in common: the desire to have their land back and just be able to live without oppression.
Their perspectives are important and every author offers a glimpse into what their lives have been like, the experiences that have shaped them, what they're passionate about, and what they would like to see happen to Gaza in the future.
Smart, authentic, inspiring, and moving.
I got the ebook for free from HaymarketBooks and I'm so grateful this book is available, I'm very happy I was able to read it. If anyone's interested: https://www.haymarketbooks.org/books/...
