So, it's not what I expected it to be - I think I was just too excited to read it based on its concept - but it was still enjoyable. I think I was floundering on what I thought of it until everything kind of tied in and came together for me in the very end. I didn't really like the Jem/Spider romance until the end of the book, and at times I actually thought it was kind of aggressive for a YA book regarding swearing/drug references/sex (not like I personally care, but it's a weird message), especially the whole... wait here comes a spoiler -
Anyway, I liked how we got set up for the 2nd book and the way that worked out, I'm actually interested in reading it (I was surprised - halfway though I was not really into it).

teen pregnancy thing. Just way weirded me out that they even started a sexual relationship and as a person who didn't want to see anyone's number, why be happy about bringing a kid into the world?Anyway, I liked how we got set up for the 2nd book and the way that worked out, I'm actually interested in reading it (I was surprised - halfway though I was not really into it).
