THIS WAS SO GOOD. IM IN AWE. I STAYED UP SO LATE FINISHING IT BUT OMG WAS IT SO WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!! I love how much we really got to know the characters, especially Corrick. How much he loves his brother and the people and how that drives all his decisions. The political intrigue was so interesting. I love his dynamic w Tessa so much he just loved her so purely and he wanted to be good for her 😭🥺. So cute. But the tension was really good and I really liked how little bits were sprinkled in as foreshadowing and red herrings, coming back into play later. Very very interesting and engaging and I love how it explored family, duty, love, conflict, survivor, greed, prejudice and privilege. SO GOOD. SO COMPREHENSIVE   I really enjoyed this one I would recommend.  My first 5 star for the year HEHE
