Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel

5.0

I'm a sucker for big robot stories.

The book was written in an interview format and this definitely works well as an audio book. What starts as a funded scientific research project of uncovering the secrets of a huge robot slowly goes downhill and turns into a huge global political war of ownership of the mecha. With a robot as big as skycrapers there's no way it can stay a secret for long. The question most terrifying and unanswerable is: whoever left the robot, when are they coming to get it back? I can't wait for the next book!
