Resisting You by E.M. Lindsey

5.0

This book was incredible! I was looking forward to it as soon as I'd finished Knowing You, and I was ecstatic to jump into it as soon as I could (aka the day of its release).
Frey and Renato are the penultimate enemies to lovers couple. There are few stories I've read with the same trope where the MCs seem to truly hate each other in the beginning. I knew Frey was going to be a fun character because of how we met him in book 1, and learning everything about Renato and his past really highlighted the similarities between the men, especially as we were given the real background for Frey's past as well.
Frey's son Rex is a real treat, and it was fantastic having the chance to get to know him a bit better; seeing him interact with Renato. Many books from E.M. feature a deaf character, and they're wonderful every time.
I think I probably teared up a good dozen times while reading this book, but only because the emotions really come off the page. [a:E.M. Lindsey|14177397|E.M. I'm already looking forward to Dallas's book as soon as it's available.
