The age gap of it all was well done but idk there just wasn’t any joie de vivre to this book. The MIL was infuriating regardless of the past, the FMC’s tiny-ness was a little much at some points, and the 9 year old acted 5 mostly tbh. I have 10 year old brothers and I know everyone is different but it was very stark. Lastly, idk if I liked how it all wrapped up in terms of climax resolution.
