Simply put, this book was a JOY to read. It’s very much a cozy fantasy rom-com and I enjoyed every second of it. The pacing is a bit slower than I’m used to but the book itself is a slow burn. A worthwhile, enjoyable, absolutely adorable slow burn.
The characters are endearing, the premise is sweet and the last 40 pages had me panic texting my sister (swipe for a look into my instability).
Evie and The Villian are characters that I now hold close to my heart and I can’t wait to see what happens in book 2!
