A Treasury of Classic Fairy Tales by Chris Colfer

4.0

I had been eyeing to buy this book forever, and finally relented. I picked it up for reading pretty soon after receiving it in the book parcel, and it was hard to stop reading. But then again, Colfer always knows how to put a spell on me.

I enjoyed all of the stories, I read them aloud, as if I had an audience of little kids with me (if only!). Most of the stories I have read before, but it was still interesting to read them with the words written by Colfer. The illustrations were pretty splendid too, they were just like the illustrations in fairy tale books I used to read when I was a kid myself. They made me feel nostalgic.

The only reason for it not being 5 star is because of the inclusion of Mother Goose's Nursery Rhymes. For some reason, I never really cared for nursery rhymes.

Mother Goose's Fairy Tale Guide was a nice touch though. It was like the combination of The Mother Goose Diaries x Queen Red Riding Hood's Guide to Royalty, the other two books by Colfer.
