The grocery store scene and slow burn cheeky flirtation was perfect. Also loved the wrestling and teasing over the smutty pirate romance books. It wasn’t a particularly steamy or exciting read but it was very sweet and romantic in a slow paced way. The couple’s magnetism to one another and comfortable rapport made you really root for them to admit their feelings to themselves and each other.
The inclusion of town meetings and gossipy nosy neighbours in the small town was a nice bit of fun, it was reminiscent of Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls.
I didn’t read the first in this series and I don’t think I will go back to catch up, as this book suited me better.
