This was such a neat premise! It felt familiar and cozy, but I don’t think I’ve read a mystery quite like it before. The reveals were unpredictable enough to surprise me, but not so out of the blue that I felt cheated. While I can get easily bored by dual timelines, they added so much to the suspense and pacing of this book, and I think they were done really well. Don’t expect an edge-of-your-seat suspense thriller, but pick this one up for a cozy mystery with a bit of a kick to it. I’d definitely read more of this author.
