The main characters in this book are governmental buildings, cities, countries in the Caribbean where people pop in and out throughout the years, and throughout a series of separate stories. It’s based on historical events, from other views than normally used. 
The tellings are connected to each other in intricate ways but to be fully cohesive they are often to loosely connected or to detailed for the bigger picture to be easily recognizable.
