Set way in the future those who had been powerful and greedy took what they wanted from Earth and abandoned it and everyone they deemed not worthy. Created their own society. And made promises they never kept.

Emergency Skin is about once human race finding out who their god like leaders and what they stand for. 

There are many hidden meaning in Emergency Skin and I think individual will focus on the one that is most important to them. For me that was the corrupt government aspect.
