If the Renegades trilogy and Hunger Games trilogy had a child, this would be it. (can't say anything on red queen cuz i haven't read it yet)
EDIT: after further examination, (and 40 pages into Lightlark by Alex Aster) I feel like there's some... COPYING here. Lightlark came out in I believe August of 2022 and Powerless came out in January of 2023, now I'm not saying it's an exact copy because I don't think anyone can write a novel THAT fast. But, there are a lot of similarities, like 1. A dark hunger games theme, 2. A main character with no powers, and 3. a dark love interest. also, if I remember correctly, Kai has one dimple, and... GRIM HAS ONE DIMPLE TOO? uhm but yeah, thought I'd point that out.
