The literal only thing that would make this book better was if we were given a dual POV narrative. I was desperate to see Alim’s side of things and see how he dealt with grief and the relationship with his children from his own perspective; he’s too interesting of a character for us to not have an in into his mind. Still, this was an amazing book. I love a romance that doesn’t shy away from the messiness of humanity.
